Darcey's Dream Charity:
Provides support to grieving families that have lost a child through miscarriage, stillbirth, neonatal death, sudden infant death syndrome, illness, infection, accident, or terminal illness from babies through to young children.
There is support and help for all family members with a special focus on support for Siblings. The support for siblings helps them deal with loosing a sister or brother and helping them create memories with their sibling that has passed.
We will support you on keeping a child's memory alive and how to incorporate them in to their siblings lives. If the child that has died is your families first child there will be support on how to tell other siblings that may come about their brother or sister.
There are a number of volunteers working for the charity including psychiatrists, counsellors, photographers and people to talk to who have been through the tragedy of loosing a child.
The Charity helps and supports families and siblings through bereavement and making lasting memories to keep your child's memory alive.
We want to hold information classes to raise awareness of sudden infant death syndrome. Prenatal and postnatal.
We are currently in the process of creating a memory box for hospitals that allows siblings to be included in the memories and are developing keepsakes for siblings including bracelets to link siblings and books to tell the story of siblings.
There is special support on loosing a multiple as well providing support to families that loose one of their multiples as Darcey is a Twin.
Darcey's Dream was founded by Darcey's mother, two of her godmothers and a close friend who has also gone through the tragedy of loosing a child. We are real people that are still living with the heartache and pain everyday of loosing a child or godchild and we are here to support you and your family in anyway we can.
