Don't have time to donate right now?
Story
My first fundraiser for the BraveHearts Program was to complete a half-marathon (21km) at Angkor Wat, Siem Reap on Sunday 4th December 2016. I'm happy to share that I achieved this goal, as well as reaching my first fundraising milestone of 500GBP. Thanks for all your support!
My second milestone in this bid to raise funds is 1000GBP. I am now training for my next half marathon in Sihanoukville, Cambodia in March 2017 ... would any of you like to join me???
BraveHearts needs help from generous people like you to continue to support the many disadvantaged infants and children with disabilities in the BraveHearts Program based in Cambodia. www.braveheartsprog.org
A donation of any amount is very much appreciated. All donations go directly to the daily running of the BraveHearts Program, which includes the needs of our children, such as nutrition, equipment, toys and learning materials, clothing, nappies/diapers, preventative care, medicine, vaccinations and hygiene supplies.
NUTRITION ... $10 donation will provide 60 nutritional fruit shakes for the children at BraveHearts
HYGIENE ... $20 donation will provide enough disposable nappies/diapers for 1 week at BraveHearts
MEDICINE ... $50 donation will provide enough medicine for 10 children for a whole month at BraveHearts
PHYSIOTHERAPY ... $100 donation is enough for a child to receive daily physiotherapy sessions for a whole year at BraveHearts
We are also starting to fundraise to build a sensory playground at the centre during 2017.
On behalf of the children and young people at BraveHearts, thank you for your support of the program.

7 years agoWith just 10 days to go until my next half marathon, I wanted to update you as to the progress with the sensory play area plans. The team at Building Trust International have designed a stunning 'lotus flower' shaped structure, which the Director of the center is presenting to the ministry for approval. The structure is 21.5m x 14.5m x 6m and will cost in the region of $10,000 to construct. We are hoping to raise enough funds so that the structure can be built during May 2017, before the rainy season. It will take 3-4 weeks to complete.

7 years agoThank you to everyone who helped me to reach my first milestone of 500GBP towards to covered sensory play area which will be created at BraveHearts in 2017. The support you all gave certainly made those 5am morning training runs totally worth it! My next goal will be to reach 1000GBP over the coming months as I train towards my next half marathon in Sihanoukville, Cambodia on Sunday 5th March 2017. I am also hoping to encourage other BraveHearts volunteers and supporters to join this next fundraiser (21km/10.5km/3km options).

7 years agoThank you to everyone who has supported my fundraising efforts so far ... if you would still like to, all donations will go towards helping to build a covered sensory play area for all the infants, children and young people in the BraveHearts Program with disabilities. Now the half marathon is complete, it's time to decide on my next challenge to keep raising funds for the build! Thank you from the bottom of my heart! David
