Story
As many of you know, the legendary David, AKA Julie Tomkins' husband and carer had a stroke just before Christmas.
Whilst having a stroke is a difficult enough problem, the fact that he has been Julie's carer for about eight years, makes it even more important that he regains as much strength and mobility possible. David and Julie will no doubt have other changes to manage but short term, their focus is on doing their best to get David as well as possible.
Funds raised will go towards treatments which may not be provided on the NHS, including things like needs aromatherapy, chiropractor or even counselling or hydrotherapy... whatever it takes to achieve David's fullest recovery.
The page title of "David's Helping Hand" comes from David's frequent requests, since suffering from a stroke, for the implement that Julie uses for reach things she can't - her "Helping Hand". It seemed a particularly appropriate name given the treatment David's left hand and the rest of his left side will need.
Thank you for reading this information. If you can help at all, with a gift of any amount, it will be appreciated. If you could share David's story via social media that would also help, especially if you can add a personal note as you share.
With much love and hope,
Hilary xxx
