Weʼve raised £1,310 to help lighten the load for our beautiful best friend and her family, who are fighting Breast Cancer and to raise money for cancer research.

Funded on Saturday, 24th June 2017

    Story

We are all too aware that Cancer affects so many people in the world, but it's when someone you love is diagnosed with Cancer that you realise just what a demon it really is!
Unfortunately, our beautiful, best friend has breast cancer, and after a mastectomy in January, then finding the cancer has spread to her lymph nodes and many inconclusive test results since, is now undergoing high intensive chemotherapy, with radiotherapy to follow.
The impact this has had on her family is unimaginable. As friends we can do very little to help take the pain away so by raising some pennies means we can do something positive to help try and make a very difficult time a little easier.
We would like to divide the funds raised, between Cancer Research, to help researchers continue working towards finding a cure for this horrible disease, and to our friends, Yvonne, Bess and their little boy Monty, to try and relieve some financial pressure, even if it's just a little bit.

For your sponsor we are starting off with a 25 mile bike ride on 7th May, with Bike Oxford.
Then a 30 mile bike ride on 21st May with Classic Oxfordshire cycle ride.
Then a 25km bike ride on 11th June with Pink Ribbon London.
Then a 66 mile bike ride in The New Forest, on 16th September

We are also in a ballot for the Prudential Ride London-Surrey, 46 miles, fingers crossed for a place.
As you can see our mileage is increasing all the time, we are ultimately aiming for the big 100 miles, and are training hard.

We will continue entering as many events as we can possibly fit in to keep raising funds for our best friends.

We will keep you posted on any new events.

    Love Debs & Erica xx

Thank you all so much from the bottom of our hearts. Please know that our bike rides have not by any means finished, we have our biggy, 66 miles coming up in September, shortly followed by 55miles from London to surrey 😊 We hope the money we've raised will help towards the charities that continue to look for a cure for Breast cancer and we know the rest will help our best friends Yvonne and Hester to continue to do everything they can to beat cancer xxxxx

Bike ride no.3 done and possibly one of our favourites, The pink ribbon, 25km, riding through closed off streets in the centre of London with over 1000 women wearing pink all riding to raise money for this horrible disease that has affected either themselves or someone they love. It was a day of hope, strength and unity ❤️ Once again thank you thank you thank you for your donations, we're totally blown away by your generosity. Much love D & E xx
