After devastating floods hit Rio in 2011, Janice & Carlos found themselves homeless without funds and caring for a number of street dogs. A loyal band of Facebook followers of their little sanctuary online helped feed and house them and over time the Dogs in Brazil official charity was born.
Steve and I are undertaking various running events in 2017.
Steve is taking part in The Race to the Stones in July; he's aiming to complete a 100 kilometre race in one hit!
I will be running a half marathon in September and hoping to beat my previous best run/walk time of 3hrs 2 minutes.

Currently, the Rescue is home to approximately 90 sick, injured and abandoned dogs who need food, shelter and ongoing medical care. Their vets bills are always enormous.
Every penny will be passed onto Janice. The charitable status ensures all this is legitimate and traceable. There are no administrators, just a husband & wife team, a host of volunteers and now, over 50,000 followers of their daily activities on Facebook, Twitter and blog page.
