Due to lack of funds and human compassion, animal rescue charities are more at risk, and never more needed than now.
I have many that I donate to, and I try to do this as regularly as I can.
This time, I have decided to benefit myself aswell as 2 such charities, who are dangerously close to not being able to carry on their incredible work.
Tears, is a South African based rescue that my mum recently volunteered at.
They rescue, treat and rehome any animal that is brought to their attention, and is in need.
They also have a team that is in the field, and will spend 24 hours a day, rescuing, helping and treating the animal victims of wild fires.
Big or small, wild or tame, this charity will go above and beyond for any animal in need.
Peter Singh is a fellow English man, who ran a rescue charity in Spain, with his wife.
After doing exceptional and heartbreaking work out there, they were driven out the country by a very prejudiced and flawed legal system, that meant it was impossible for them to carry out their work.
Dogs, cats, donkeys......you name it, they helped. No animal was turned down.
He and his wife are now back in England, carrying on their amazing work. Having brought ever animal in their care over from Spain with them, they still have a vested interest in animal welfare over there, and arrange rescue from this country.
Their tireless work and dedication is unmatched.
Anyway, why and how am I doing this ?
Simply, I love animals. I detest human treatment of them, and I will always do what I can to protect these intelligent, selfless and loving creatures, how every many legs they have.
Rather than just asking for money, I'm going to do the one thing I've never managed to. Lost the 6 stone I so desperately need to.
