Royal Mail Dundee East are looking for your support on May 28th!

Five employees of Dundee East Delivery Office will be taking on a challenge like no other, in order to raise donations towards two very important local charities; The Blake Macmillan Trust and Kaela's wishes.

The Blake Macmillan Trust - Blake is 4 years old and is affected by a rare and devastating neurological disorder named MECP2 Duplication Syndrome.

Kaela's Wishes - Kaela is a severely disabled little girl from Monifieth who suffers from quadriplegic spastic cerebral palsy.

Five employees of Dundee East Delivery Office, (Colin Darling, James Hopper, Tom Corder, Oliver Gardner & Ian Allan), will be Braving a challenge like none before to help raise donations towards bettering the lives of two severely disadvantaged children in the local area.

The Challenge involves a total cycle of 112 miles around Dundee and the surrounding areas of Angus. At the 72 mile mark the cyclists will dismount to don their walking shoes to attempt a climb of 8 miles (3045ft) up the Dreish Munro. The cyclists will finally cycle 40 miles to the finish line. Cyclists will be in the saddle for approximately 9-10 hours as well as walking/climbing for 4-6 hours in one day.

Cycling/climbing is a fairly new venture for many participants; who have been in training for this colossal challenge since January.

As a team we would appreciate any donations that could be made towards these two fantastic local causes. We also hope that anyone who can make it on the day catches us either at the start or finish line or joins us on route for moral support.

The challenge begins at Dundee East Delivery Office, Ivory Place, West Pitkerro Industrial Estate, DD5 3RY at 6AM May 28th, and finishes at approximately 8PM at the same location.
