As you may know I couldn't get support from our local estate agents, a sign of the times perhaps, although our Sainsbury's Local came through with £50 so show them some patronage if you're passing.

Many of you have expressed a willingness to help cover some of the basic costs of this awesome event that has been going on since 2011. It is a feel good moment in the calendar year come rain or shine and it has brought our local community together in a way that couldn't have happened any other way.

Nick is DJing - I have a plan for a Dunoon Road Triathlane ( see what I've done there). We hope to have a BBQ, Bouncy Castle, Facepainting, Egg & Spoon, a fun trail for the children, cake competition and anything else you suggest - it's our party.

Justgiving take 5% for administering this site and card payments take 1.25% / Paypal 1.45% so if you prefer, cash donations can also be made to me direct, just pop it through the door in a sealed marked envelope. We will try to run a raffle this year too - mainly because we know how much Nick loves it! and we have some volunteers to reach out to local businesses and sell tickets but I'm always looking for more so do make contact - helenmanleybranch@icloud.com
