On Sunday the 14th of May 2017 15 Police officers will complete a gruelling 7 kilometre obstacle course and finish undoubtedly covered head to toe in mud, to raise awareness for CARA and support the brave victims of sexual abuse and sexual assaults.
Sexual violence is any unwanted sexual act or activity. It includes rape, sexual assault, child sexual abuse (CSA), sexual harassment, female genital mutilation, trafficking, sexual exploitation, and ritual abuse.
CARA provides support to victims and survivors of sexual violence. It
increases awareness and understanding of sexual violence, and its impact on victims and survivors, challenging the myths and misconceptions that surround it.
