The Eddie Cochran Memorial Stone is situated at the scene of his tragic accident as you approach Chippenham.
It's an historic Plaque visited by thousands every year.
Unfortunately due to its current size and location it hasn't had the opportunity to be looked after correctly.
Damaged by grass cutting machines, general wear and tear, the concrete Base is crumbling and falling apart, the paintwork needs addressing.
Liaising with the local council to gain permission for a more substantial concrete Base, to increase its height, a protective barrier for damage prevention.
Funds raised will also be put to purchasing a significant statue to be unveiled within Chippenham after an agreed size, spec and location has been confirmed by the local council.
