    Story

Myself and my 8yr old son are doing the Dunbar Loony Dook 2017 to raise funds for FRIENDS OF LEAP. LEAP (Lothian & Edinburgh Abstinence Programme) is an NHS treatment centre for alcoholics and addicts. This is a 12 week residential rapid detox and treatment centre that saved my life this year. Part of the programme is an outing on a Sunday but this is not funded by the NHS so this is what FRIENDS OF LEAP fundraise for. This is a massive part of recovery, the majority of alcoholics and addicts become very isolated and these outings on a Sunday really help getting them back into society and dealing with everyday living which they find hard.
