Operation Wallacea is conservation research through academic partnerships. So far, four "extinct" species have been rediscovered and thirty vertebrae species have been known to science. This is all down to the work that Operation Wallacea does for the environment. At the rate in which the environment is being destroyed, I want to be an active participant in protecting the habitat that so many unique species live in. There are so many uses for the environment that haven't been discovered yet and by destroying it, we'll never know what help it can provide for us.
In the future, I plan on studying Environmental Conservation at university. Therefore, Operation Wallacea provides the perfect opportunity for me to gain valuable experience that I would not be able to achieve otherwise.
