My name is Zak De Souza and I started my amatuer boxing career early this year. I Signed up to fight in a Semi professional bout in March with no previous experience in any type of combat sport. I fought in my first fight on May 6th in front of 500 spectators against a very experienced opponent. After losing the first round, I managed to fight back and dominate round 2 and gain a well deserved draw after an even 3rd round in a light heavyweight contest.

I am going to be fighting my next fight on September 10th at Atik nightclub in Windsor on a very good fight card on one of the biggest shows. I will be training 7 days a week and keeping to a strict diet. I will have to drop 10kg to fight at Super Middleweight.

I will be fighting and raising money to distribute to Alzheimer's Research. I have watched my Grandad suffer with dementia over the last 5 years and it is not something nice to see. I would like to pull everyone together through the power of boxing and sport to tackle this disease.

Anybody can develop dementia and the sooner we fight this the better!
