Thankyou to every one of you who have helped Fantastic Mr Fŕeds ight for Sights take off. It was a difficult decision to reach out and seek support for our cause. I am so pleased we did. We feel less alone and we are having fun making memories already. It feels like you are all on our journey with us. With the kindness and generosity of people we are flying high. It's not just the money. It's the time and people's actions that has made this experience so positive. Our journey seems a bit less daunting with you lot along for the ride. Kx

ChooChoo. Yesterday Fred ticked another adventure from his Vision Bucket list. He boarded the train drivers cab beside a driver called Mario.Yes Supermario drove us to Newcastle where we were treated to the best view and honked the horn. The fun didn't stop there as both Fred and Eva and a rather enthusiastic daddy drove the driver simulator from Kings Cross too. A wonderful day thanks to Virgin. Many thanks to Bob and Geoff for making memories and helping us find some fun on our subsequent train journeys to London GOSH

Happy New year to all our friends. I hope Santa bought you all you wished and and that 2017 is filled with adventures. i asked my kids to write their wishes for 2017 and this is Eva's. 1. My brother to get better. 2 My family to get together. 3 to be good at a talent. The first both filled my heart with love and pride but also broke it too. Its a really interesting issue in how people in particularly children see disability. It is not a illness, Fred is (VI) blind not broken. Fred's Flights for Sights helps turn empathy into action. It's been a rollercoaster of a year, we rode the highs and gathered strength from our friends during the dips and loop the loops! We have ended on a high with Fred being given the Courage award from school and a no worse no better assessment from Gosh - we will take that thankyou! I can honestly say that this journey is made so much better with you all coming along for the ride. next year we have a penguin experience ( Avian flu dependent), a train driver and possibly a pilot experience in the offing. Lots to look forward to in 2017. Happy days
