Hello, my name is Hayley and I am asking for donations to help my son.

My son George was born at 26 weeks gestation due to severe pre eclampsia and kidney failure. George weighed 1lb 7oz.

George spent 4 months in hospital before coming home. This was one of the scariest days of my life but also the happiest, because over those months back and forth from different hospitals, heart surgery, 4 operations to his eyes and many more I woke each morning (when I was lucky enough to fall asleep) wondering if today was the day I'd lose him.

The doctors told me when George was 3 months old that there was nothing else they could do to save his eye sight and that he would be blind. This was irreversible. I was truely heart broken.

George was obviously so far behind children his age and had a disadvantage due to his blindness, but he didn't progress well. At age 2 it was confirmed that George has cerebral palsy and won't walk.

George has had many diagnosis's in his 4 years of living. These include, stage 5 ROP (blindness), cerebral palsy, Epilisy (two types), chronic lung disease, hypoglycaemia and autism.

I could not be more proud to call him my son. He's smiles through the pain every day and he deserves the world because he is my world. I promised him that I would do everything to make sure he has the best life possible for the time I've got him here.

The local council have offered us a grant to help build an extension, ramp to the front of the house, hoists, changing bench, bedroom and wet room. This is amazing as I cannot carry him up and down the stairs much longer and bath times are a real struggle. However the grant won't cover the work we need including the disability equipment.

As a result I am project managing this myself to get the best possible prices and keep the cost down. I am trying to raise £10,000 but anything is a bonus!!
