We are aiming to raise funds to build Rory a therapy hot tub & enclosure in his garden that he can access for daily therapy and as an activity for him to enjoy.
Rory has severe autism, hypermobile joints, a genetic duplication, sleep disruption, sensory processing disorder, anxiety , and a poor immune system, resulting in many recurrent infections requiring medication and antibiotics. Rory was only able to attend his special school on a full time basis at age 10 due to his ill health.

He has to stay at home to recover, leading to long absences from school as he is often too ill to attend.

Rory has very limited speech, and his hypermobility causes high fatigue levels and pain. His increasing anxiety and poor health mean his his life is very restricted, so has to spend most of his time at home. He needs constant care.
Rory's favourite thing in the world is being in water, but for medical reasons he cannot attend a public swimming pool or hydrotherapy pool as he picks up bacterial infections at the pool. and becomes so unwell afterwards, which takes a few months for him to recover.

For all these reasons and more, he would hugely benefit physically and mentally from a carefully monitored hygienic therapy pool that he could access at home, to help with his pain & muscle weakness, and provide him with a theraputic, enjoyable activity in warm water which he loves.

We will of course be using savings to help make this happen, which will go towards paying for all the landscaping and clearance needed to prepare an area for this in the garden, lighting, electrics, and all work needed to make the area safe & secure.
