Hi, I’m Amy and I need to introduce you to HUG. I am a Mum to Lilia Betty who is 5 years old and I am also a mum to babies who sadly didn’t make it. What became obvious to me was the total lack of support after a miscarriage or baby loss. Not just for me but for my husband and not only for us as a couple but also for my family and friends who didn’t know how to help, what to say or what to do with us. That is what made me set up HUG. Helpusgrieve.co.uk is a new website and phone app that helps people who are going through similar experiences to us and need to find out useful information that will help them through the grieving process after a miscarriage or baby loss. But it doesn’t just help the parents, it gives help, advice and support to family, friends and work colleagues too. It also has support for pregnancies after a miscarriage and allows you to chat to people who are having similar experiences and gain support from people who know exactly how you feel. It allows you to ask people questions and is a place where you can be around people who understand. At HUG, we understand. You will never be alone at HUG. As I am currently funding HUG myself, I really need some help. We have done so well in the last year and now I really need people to give me a hand in getting HUG available to all those who need it.
