Dear Fellow Friends

I write this letter to you from the depths of my heart.
My name is הודיה.
As my name suggests, I have much for which to thank Hashem. My being a frum Bas Yisroel is in itself a miracle. I was born to a non-religious family with serious problems. I had to leave home as a child, yet with tremendous sy"d was raised in a chassidishe institution until I turned 18 years old. After my 18th birthday, I graduated from the institution but had nowhere to go. I was afraid, that if I were to return to my family, I would, G-D forbid, go off the derech in the worst way. Again, with immense sy"d, a kind, a wonderful family close to my school took me into their home and treated me like one of their own.

B"H today I am 22 years old and with the help of my foster family I became a kallah to a wonderful erliche yeshiva bochur. I am very fortunate to have such a choson and I am very grateful to Hashem. The problem is that I do not have the means with which to start married life. I do not have money for clothing, furniture nor for the most basic necessities. I do not have the money to pay for even a simple chasunah. As wonderful as my foster family are, they are not people of means. Yet I am hopeful, for I am sure that Hashem, who has helped me until now, will not forsake me at this special time of my life.

I turn to you, my dear brothers and dear sisters, I ask you to participate in the big mitzva of hachnosas kallah.

Please help me get married. Please help me start my life. Please help me build my home - a yiddishe erliche home for my soon to be husband, for myself and for generations to come iy"h.

In this zechus may you always have good health, happiness and nachas from your family.
