    Story

In the month of September 2013 their beautiful daughter Carmela-Rose now aged 5 was digionised with
Acute Lymphoblastic leukaemia Carmela-Rose was transferred straight away by ambulance to Great Ormond Street Hospital to begin treatment immediately. They were also given the news that due to the amount of Leukaemia cells in her tiny body she was classed as very high risk since that day Carmela-Rose has undergone numerous treatments including strong Chemotherapy, Lumber punchers which is a needle into her spine while under general ascetic to check if the disease had spread to her central nervous system or not, Bone marrow aspiration tests to see if the chemotherapy was killing the Leukaemia cells or not, sadly on October 2015 Carmela-Rose became unwell and was admitted back into Great Ormond Street and it was discovered that the Leukaemia had relapsed while she was still in treatment .She was then switched onto the standard relapse treatment plan but this did not work the Luekamia was Refractory meaning it is chemo resistant, they introduced a new treatment plan, which meant extremely strong Chemotherapy, this made Carmela-Rose very poorly and she needed to stay in hospital completely. It was decided the best thing would be a Bone Marrow Transplant. This opened a new complication in that a match for Carmela-Rose was needed, eventually a(miss match) donor was found and the transplant could proceed. Carmela-Rose went through 4 days of total body irradiation twice a day to get her body ready for the transplant Carmela-Rose became very poorly she had 3 seizures and was completely unresponsive! Carmela-Rose was then diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease which would of led to her needed a of a Kidney transplant but for this to happen Carmela need to be better in herself to handle this she now had a very nasty virus that she couldn't shake off which sadly Carmela Passed Away on 30th December 2016 xx
