    Story

Hi. This is Jay. He's 32 years old with a wife and a beautiful 6 year old daughter. He's a son to two loving parents and he's also my awesome younger brother. He used to love going to the gym, keeping fit and healthy and he would always be the first person to offer his help if we were in need. He's totally in love with his little daughter and was working two jobs at once just to make sure she had everything she needed.

On 8th August 2014, his life and ours changed dramatically. We received a phone call to say he'd been involved in a car accident. His brakes had stopped working whilst he was driving and due to a petrol spill on the road, his car spun out of control and hit a lamppost.

He was rushed to QE hospital in Birmingham and was presented with multiple skull, jaw and orbital fractures. He suffered brain haemorrhages that resulted in paralysis of his limbs and was on life support for 6 weeks.

When he awoke from his coma and after a few months, he regained the use of his right side but unfortunately his left side is still paralysed. His brain has been severely impacted.

We desperately want him to be able to have the quality of life that we all sometimes take for granted. Just to be able to to have the use of his arms and legs, be able to talk and walk and hold his daughter in his arms again. We've come across some ground breaking stem cell treatment being carried out by a clinic in Mumbai that has shown vast improvement in patients who suffer from traumatic brain injury and paralysis. The costs are approximate and are to cover his flights, travel, accommodation, insurance and the medical procedure itself.

We know times are difficult for everyone but anything you can donate will be greatly appreciated. This is my brother Jay, but it could easily have been your brother, your son, your husband or your dad.

    Thank you in advance.

On 08/08/14 I had a serious car accident leading to traumatic brain injuries resulting in paralysis of my left side. I am trying to raise money to get treatment to enable me to live my life as it once was before my accident. I have to travel abroad for this due to the expense
