Weʼve raised £4,550 to Help Noor walk

    BERKSHIRE, UK
Funded on Tuesday, 10th October 2017

    What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

    Story

This is 7 year old Noor. She has severe damage to both sides of her brain.Noor has never walked. She would love to play football and run but she cannot even stand up on her own. No-one knows exactly what happened to Noor and even after having every test imaginable, doctors cannot find an exact cause for Noor's brain damage.

We, as her parents have spent 6 years trying to access help and support from the NHS and our Council. We are struggling to install a CEILING TRACK HOIST in our home which would help Noor to stay upright and be able to move around her own home independently and safely. This would help Noor immensely as staying upright for long periods daily will help her lungs to grow to the size of what a normal 7 year old has. It would help her joints to give stimulation to her brain and her involuntary movements would reduce improving her posture and making neurosensory tracks to enable her brain to understand coordination and help her to walk.
We have been told that we need £55,000 in order to make our home fully adapted for this Ceiling Track hoist to be put in place. We have raised £35,000 so far and are running out of time. We desperately need this hoist as soon as possible to ensure Noor's brain gets the right sensory input in time before it is completely developed and we will not be able to form new neurosensory tracks.

Please donate generously to enable Noor to walk around in the safety of her home.
