Sadly, Shantubhai passed away 24th Feb 2017, from kidney failure. We were planning on raising money to support his hospital treatment, but he sadly lost his battle. Shantubhai leaves behind a wife, 2 sons, daughter in law and 3 lovely grandkids.

The family have grafted all their life. They have helped many people & have always shown love & affection to all. Up until last week he was still working away. The family don't have much money and whatever is earned is usually used for food.

On Friday 17th Shantubhai was admitted to hospital. He had previously visited the doctor, but they thought it was viral and it would just 'go away' Within a few hours of being examined in the hospital, the doctors informed the family that both kidneys are significantly failing and that his only chance for survival, would be to undergo dialysis.

Medical costs in India are very high. In order for them to continue dialysis and other treatment, we need to raise 4 lacs rupees. This is approximately, £5000. The latest information we have is that jaundice is setting in. He is in urgent need of a kidney transplant.

Shantubhai lives a very basic life. Since the age to 12 yrs old, he has been working hard as a carpenter. The family itself are extremely poor. They don't enjoy the luxuries we are accustomed to. He has a wife, 2 sons (one is mentally handicapped) and the other is married with 3 young children. Both father and son graft hard on a daily basis. At 67 years old, Shantubhai is still slogging his guts off to bring money for the family.

They work today & eat today. Tomorrow is a different day.

Please dig deep and help this family. They really don't deserve this. His 3 grandchildren dote on him so much. He is the pillar of the family.
