Jessie is our 4 year old Yorkshire terrier who has recently been diagnosed with catarax in both of her eyes. A recent appointment with the specialist revealed that she has already lost sight in one eye and the other is fast deterioating.
She needs to have specialist surgery as soon as possible. The specialist has advised it would be needed prior to Christmas to give the best chance of the treatment to be successful.
Jessie is desperately unlucky according to the specialist to have catarax at such a young age. We have been advised its genetic.
Anyone who has met Jessie knows how fond she is of playing ball and chasing joey (our other Yorkshire terrier) around. We would really like to be able to have this operation done for her not only to keep the quality of life she is used to but without it we have been advised that she would have further complications that may result in her needing to have both eyes removed.
We do have pet insurance that has advised it will pay a maximum of £1000 towards the treatment.
We would be so very thankful for any help in getting this operation for Jessie.
