Lovely Little Bobby was recently handed in to rescue, due to no fault of his own.

It soon became apparent that Bobby had quite a pronounced limp on one of his back legs, and a lump on his side.

Bobby has had this lump removed while he was neutered, and has had xrays on both his back legs.

The xrays show that poor little Bobby has snapped his cruciate ligament in his knee, and has luxating patellas in both his knees (this means that his knee caps pop in and out of place, which can of course be quite uncomfortable to say the least!).

This means that Bobby needs a second operation to fix this, which will cost over £1,000 (this is on top of the surgery he's already had, which was almost £400).

Here at HYPS we are finding that more and more dogs in rescue are needing extensive veterinary work, which is really taking its toll on the bank balance, and ultimately reducing the amount of dogs we can save. For this reason we sometimes have to ask for your help (we really do hate to do so!!).
