There isn't many things in life that I have set my mind to and not accomplished. The biggest thing I have never conquered is my ever expanding waistline.

I decided enough was enough and have decided to raise money for 2 or 3 good causes that research cures and medicine for terminal illnesses. This is my motivation to help me lose weight and get healthy!

Even though I had already made this decision, a week before I started my diet I was diagnosed with TYPE 2 Diabetes which gave me another reason to lose weight. I love life, hate the thought of not squeezing every last drop out of my time in this mortal coil so I need to smash this challenge once and for all.

I started my diet with Slimming World on Monday 20th March and so far have lost 12.5lbs in weight. My target is 4 stones in total and I hope to achieve this in no more than 6-9 months.

I put weekly updates on my Facebook page so you can keep an eye on how I am doing and offer moral support if you wish.
