Anyone who knew John would have been touched by his charm and personality. He loved the outdoors and his climbing experiences and expeditions led him to follow his passion and work as a climbing instructor, mountain leader and polar guide in Antarctica. What set John aside from others in his field was how he used his experiences and adventures to inspire others. An ideas man, creative and resourceful, John engaged people with his stories, describing how he dealt with adversity and making good with whatever was at hand. John clearly loved Jack and Daniel and was a proud father. For the boys growing up without their Dad is not going to be easy.

The aim of these funds is to facilitate opportunities for the boys to keep in touch with the people who shared John's life, so that his memory can live on with the boys. Funds can be used to arrange flights to/from Spain, to support meets and adventures in a way that John would have liked and to talk about John and his many experiences.

This way Jack and Daniel will remember their Dad for what he was, a lovely man, warm, adventurous, inspiring and caring.
