It has been over three years since
violence broke out in Syria. The bloody conflict has claimed over 100,000 lives.
Almost 10 million people have been forced to flee their homes leaving
everything behind. Most of the people who have fled are women and children.
This crisis has created the largest refugee exodus since World War Two.

Children have lost their homes, seen their loved ones killed, their schools destroyed
and their hopes eroded. They have been physically or psychologically wounded
and they are vulnerable to the worst types of exploitation. They remain the
most vulnerable victims in the conflict. So many wives have become widows and have nobody to provide food or shelter for their children.
