Poverty is an important issue in India, despite having one of the fastest growing economies in the world, it is estimated that in 2015, around 170 million people, or 12.4%, lived in poverty. Due to this poverty, the educational system has suffered greatly and many of India's population grow up illiterate despite attending schools. My trip to India is a college organised immersion project that aims to help address these issues. Whilst in India we will visit many towns and villages to bring resources, support and aid to people struggling in the areas. We aim to bring hope to the people and provide all generations with equal educational opportunities from a young age. The money that i raise will send me to India and allow us to take as many resources as we can. This trip is an incredible opportunity for evryone involved, both ourselves and especially the people that will receive our help. With this project, we can change lives.
