Zachary is only 5 years old and is running 5k to raise money to support unpaid carers. They support 9,500 adult and young carers across East Lancashire who selflessly dedicate their lives to care for their loved ones. Carers often put their own lives on hold including education and employment and suffer for poverty and poor emotional health and wellbeing as a result. The youngest carer is just 6 years old and the oldest carer is 101 years! Young carers are often caring for parents with mental health problems / substance misuse etc And often care for their siblings at the same time- these children miss out on their childhood that other young people take for granted! Please help this charity to help unpaid carers to have much needed support and respite from their roles!
