My son, Jamie, has the opportunity to go on an expedition to Swaziland next July with a group of 20 like minded young people from his school (via 'World Challenge '). They will be hiking through Swaziland for the first week, setting up camp every night and cooking on an open fire. The second week will be spent living with the local community and helping out at an orphanage where the children have lost their parents to Aids.
As some of you already know, Jamie will face many additional challenges through his life due to his inherited visual impairment (retinitis pigmentosa). An opportunity like this could be a life changing experience for him, giving him life skills, independence and confidence.
The cost of the trip is £2500 plus equipment so please, if you can, help us to send him on his way.
