    Story

Simon and I were both offered a place to run in the London marathon 2017. A daunting yet exciting challenge to undertake and one we are both looking forward to with anticipation.

We have decided to run for Sense, a national charity who supports people who are deaf blind, have sensory impairments or complex needs to enjoy independent lives and be active members of society.

Simon and I have both completed the Kenilworth half marathon and I recently took part in the Birmingham half marathon. This will be Simon's fourth time running the London marathon so hopefully this experience will help in ensuring we cross the finish line and raise money for Sense. Our training will consist of continuing our regular runs around Balsall Common and Birmingham, completing in half marathons for additional training and all the hours at the hotel will certainly help with our fitness.

Please show your support and help keep us motivated with our training by donating to Sense. It would not only mean a great deal to us but could really make a difference to someones life. No matter how small any donations are much appreciation.

£25 could pay for an interactive light tube to stimulate a deafblind child's senses in a special sensory room.
£10 could pay towards a vital first assessment which allows Sense specialists to create an individual plan that helps a deafblind child to communicate.
£7.50 could buy a toy drum. Deafblind children often like to feel the vibrations of drumming.
