I'm a 26 year old like many other; except for one thing, my desire to stop at nothing to achieve my dreams.

18 months ago I made the decision to embark on a whirlwind journey that would see me go above and beyond something I never knew I was capable of. It would see me push my body to breaking point and back again all to succeed in a sport that, until 2 years ago I knew nothing of.

I'm a Team GB age group Duathlete who, in 2016 competed nationally over standard distance Duathlon (10k run, 40k bike, 5 k run) in Spain and won a silver medal. To achieve World Silver medal status in my first competitive race for my Country is more than I ever dreamed possible.

I have pre-qualified to compete for Team GB in the European Championships in Spain in April 2017 and World Championships in Canada in August 2017. The cost of the two competitions alone excluding bike maintenance, kit, race entries, nutrition and more is estimated to be in the region of £4000.

I am currently employed in the NHS and although I work full time I train for long hours. A typical day can start at 6am and finish at 11pm, to become the best all round athlete I can be.
