Story
Four-time Paralympic medalist Jessica Jane Applegate MBE may be forced to retire at the young age of 20, due to a cut in funding.
Despite winning 3 medals at Rio 2016 just 9 weeks after career-saving surgery and competing with a prolapsed disc in her back, Jessica's funding will drop from £21,000 to £11,000 as she was unable to reach a personal best this year. As well as this, Jessica has unfortunately lost the use of a £5000 grant.
This means Jessica is no longer able to cover the costs of necessities such as, travel, accommodation, race entry fees and racing suits.
Please help us in raising £15,000 to support such a determined Norfolk athlete to continue her career as an International Para Swimmer and achieve her dream of representing Great Britain at Tokyo 2020.

7 years agoThe last campaign raised an amazing £3674! Thank you so much for your continued support, together you have managed to raise enough money to keep me training, racing & in medical care until April & I am incredibly grateful for this. I have continued my post operation rehabilitation & have been having treatment for my prolapsed disc. The outcome so far has been very positive & after a long period of time I have begun to gain personal best times in racing again. I could not of done this without all of your support, every penny helps! Thank you!
