Story
Tragically on the 17th October 2016 Jodie Wilkinson lost her life. Those of us who knew Jodie can all say without doubt she was a young woman who had a formidable strength of character and a resilience to be admired. If you met Jodie you did not forget her, her wonderful personality always shone through even in the face of adversity.
Jodie left behind a loving sister Amy and two nephews Rory and Oscar whom she adored, and in turn they loved Aunty Jodie to bits. Sadly Amy has been left to cope with the loss of her sister while also guiding her young boys through a very sad and confusing time in their lives. Jodie had a transient lifestyle and they are left with nothing to remember her by other than the void she has left in their hearts and the clothes that she wore on that tragic day. It would help to have somewhere for Amy and the boys to focus their grief and connect with Jodie. A Memorial Plague in the garden of remembrance starts at about £600 and Amy does not have the income to fund such an expense with 2 young children to support. As a tribute to Jodie's memory and a thank you for all the times she made us smile I'm asking everyone to give something they can afford so Amy can buy a memorial plague and have somewhere family and friends can visit in her memory.
