Music is my sister's passion!!

The trouble is, with her disabilities and daily special requirements it makes attending festivals, like most of us take for granted, pretty much impossible without specialist support!

For the last 8 years, my boyfriend and I have been lucky enough to take Jody to WOMAD, Wilderness and even Glastonbury festivals with the charity Festival Spirit. However, last year, when they were unable to accommodate us, we realised it's time that she had the independence and freedom she deserves to attend as many festivals as possible so we started to think about having her own camper van - however it will need to be very specific!

We are now raising money (with amazing on going support from Sush Promotions and Shush the Venue - http://www.shush.fm and The Ray Collins Charitable Trust) to purchase and convert a van to enable Jody to get to the music events she loves, for many years to come.

As well as individual donations, which are so very gratefully received, we are also looking for company sponsorship in return for advertising once the project is finished as well as companies able to offer help with the conversion so please do get in touch if you are in a position to offer this!

My sister is truly at her happiest at a festival so we thank you all so very much and look forward to seeing you in front of the stage!!!x

PS - We are still aiming for £12,000 however I have updated this to £8,800 as wonderful ladies and gents from The Ray Collins Charitable Trust have donated £2,000 towards the appeal following the brilliant Quiz Night and Shush / Shush Promotions, through raffles and donations at their boxing events, have so far raised £1200 :) We are so very lucky and thankful to everyone! x
