Story
In February my son Joel is hoping to volunteer to go to Ghana, West Africa to take part in charity work in a small village community. He will be involved in community work and teaching. In order to generate the funds required to join the project he has been saving and fundraising throughout the year, washing cars, helping to organise a quiz night at school etc. The village he will be staying, and working in is remote and contact with the wider world is not easy – even the electricity supply is unreliable. To reflect this, on 10th December Joel will be starting a seven day sponsored technology-free period… no computer, games consoles, television, smartphone (if you think this will be easy, try it for a day. Running a marathon would be a breeze by comparison!). Would you, please, sponsor him in this challenge to help him on his way?
Thank you.
