My friend K and her 2 children have had a tough year. Her husband/their Dad was clearly suffering from some psychological stress and started following her around and accusing her of all manner of strange things even turned up on my doorstep and accused me as well. This escalated to the point that he pulled a knife on them all in July and was arrested. At this point we all were relieved thinking he and they would get the help they needed. This has not been the case. He has managed to get out of the court case and is contesting the injunction to keep him away from the family and is trying to claim the house from her and the children.

The main problem is this seems to cause the effect of Kxx not being able to claim any benefits including housing, job seekers or income support and to cap it all he has now given up work so the child tax credit has gone down and has managed to convince HMRC that he should get the child benefit which has now been taken from K and children.
The social worker is trying to get this sorted but despite her efforts there seems like there will be now resolution before Christmas . They are trying to live on approx. 200 per month and have literally run out of food. Social worker went to food bank and i have topped up with some fresh food.

Its one of the children birthday next week and they literally have nothing.
We were hoping to raise enough money to get them some food for November/December and a few small present for the children whilst the social worker sorts this out.

I would be really grateful so any small amount you can afford to make their life better.
