As many of you are aware Lee was involved in a very serious accident wirh a few mates.
Luckily everyone got out alive.
Im setting this up to try and help Lee and his family out. Lee is going to be off work for the forseeable future and with a little family and lots of bills to pay its going to be very hard for them all. I thought that if people just help a little it will take a little bit off stress off them all. open fracture of the tib and fib, thisnis whats he is having to go through.... he had a nail fitted by ipswich hospital but then they couldn't close the wound up as needed a skin graft, took them over 72 hours to transfer me to Norwich hospital where the plastic surgery specialist are and just left the wound open, causing the bone and nail to get infected, this then meant a 10 hour operation to remove the nail and all the work carried out by ipswich hospital, then cut 6cm off my bone where it had 'died' , perform the skin graft with skin and muscle from my thigh, , the frame on my leg at the moment is just temporary to keep the bone fairly straight while the skin heals, then in approximately 6-7 weeks time I will be going for my 4th operation to have my bone broken further up the leg to 'space' the leg, then will be having a big 'bird cage' style contraption round the leg to fix the bone , long old process, I've been told up to 2 years for full normality, but hopefully won't take that long but with the prospect of a 1 in 4 chance I will lose the leg it's hard to keep positive.
