Weʼve raised £2,185 to help local teen footballer Libbie Booker who has Leukaemia. A local business man has promised, if we can raise £1000, he'll MATCH IT!

Story
Local teenager, Libbie Booker, Heckmondwike Grammar Student, Battyeford Sporting Club "Belles" under 14 Winger and huge Huddersfield Town fan has been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia.
I'm a coach for her football team and she's such a lovely polite girl, always has a smile and always tries her best. I'd like to raise money to help her and her family through this terrible time.
All money raised will be given to the family to help with expenses such as travelling back and forth to hospital etc. and a special trip when she's well enough (theme park/concert/short break)
Any donation you can give would be greatly appreciated by this wonderful young lady and her lovely family.

7 years agoThanks for all your messages asking about Libbie, we've managed nearly 2 weeks at home now with only one unplanned visit to hospital (with a temperature), has had her 7th lumbar puncture today, chemotherapy is given every day either into central line, spine or by tablet, she's anaemic and neutropenic but is going to try an hour at school today

7 years agoLibbie update.....4th lumbar puncture and intrathecal chemotherapy this morning, IV chemo tomorrow, same again next Thursday/Friday then hopefully home at last next Friday. As we'd expect the side effects of chemo are building up and Libbie feels nauseous and generally rubbish for a lot of the day with only a few hours feeling normal.
