Weʼve raised £2,375 to help Lloyd Spacey, with his ongoing support to aid his rehabilitation to help him back to full fitness.

    Story

As a lot of you will know, Lloyd Spacey had an unfortunate road traffic accident back in the summer of 2016 resulting in serious injury.

Although he has made great progress towards his recovery to date, Lloyd still requires a prolonged period of rehabilitation to get back to full fitness.

Therefore we his friends, are coming together to offer a little help in aiding the big man back to full fitness, by way of a sponsored cycle ride.

On Saturday 4th February, 2017 a few of us (of differing abilities!) will be attempting to cycle from The Black Horse ,Thornbury to Cardiff's iconic Principality Stadium (The Home of Welsh Rugby) as a way of offering our support and hopefully raising funds to support Lloyd along the way.

Thanking you in advance for any support and sponsorship you may be able to offer.

    Cheers

    Roger & Gareth

We achieved our target of £750 within 36 hours of the page going live. At the time of this update, we stand on the cusp of £1,000 raised. Fundraising will continue in the run-up to the cycle ride (4th Feb, 2017) and will ensure that Lloyd has funding in place for the private (and regular!) physio, acupuncture and hydrotherapy rehabilitation sessions he requires well into 2017! Once again – thank you so much for your support and lets keep it going!!

After almost a week of this crowd funding page going live, we have been both humbled and astounded by the response and warm messages of encouragement from friends both near and far to our sponsored cycle ride in support of Lloyd Spacey. It is testament to the power of community and we could not be more grateful.

Lloyd you have done so well so far, but hope this helps towards you making a full recovery! With the auction for the girls the money was amazing but it was community support that changed our lives.
