Story
Hi all,
I'm sure you've all seen the heart wrenching video 'Gifted With Cancer' in which Ali Banat, who's given just months to live, has given away his life of luxury to build and invest in those less fortunate, in the time he has left. His story not only went viral but touched and inspired thousands of people around the world, including us. We recently went to the Legacy Tour, hosted by himself and Imam Qasim; it was emotional, yet motivating and galvanised us to get involved in the project and be apart of an incredible legacy.
The Muslims Around the World (MATW) is a non profit community based project aimed in helping those less fortunate around the world, starting in Togo, Africa. The thing that stood out to us was that, instead of just receiving donations from the rich and wealthy, Brother Ali, wants to keep this project community based, ensuring its success through the support of a network of people from around the world. You can directly get involved with the projects abroad and see first hand what your donations are helping achieve. The project started only six months ago and is already changing lives.
We've pledged to raise £2750, which will be the cost of building a fully furnished home for widows, children and orphans. Each house will be a part of a wider project in building a village which will provide 200 homes, a school, mosque, medical centre, 5 shops, soccer field and an aluminium and sewing college to create job opportunities.
So please help us and get involved in this project and let this be your light, your legacy.
Many thanks for all your love, support and donations.
Salma and Fahima
