Story
Motor neurone disease (MND) is a fatal, rapidly progressive disease that affects the brain and spinal cord. It attacks the nerves that control movement so muscles no longer work and can leave people locked in a failing body, unable to move, talk and eventually breathe. The MND Association improves care, funds research and campaigns for greater awareness.
My grandfather died of MND, my brother died of MND, my mother died of dementia ( which carries the same gene ) and my sister recently was diagnosed with MND on the 7th December 2016. It appears that MND is genetically inherited in my family and therefore myself, my other sister and our kids are all now at 50/50 chance of getting MND. I've been informed by genetics that it's people who are genetically inherited with the gene that are the ones who help medical research find a cure therefore, after watching my family suffer with this awful disease and other people who have suffered with MND, I have decided that I would try and help them by setting up a giving page to help raise money for this worthy cause.
If you would like to help and you do have social media and are prepared to share the link then that's great. If you would like to donate, then that's great too. You can donate from as little as £2 to help get a step closer to finding a cure for this horrible disease.

This is something I felt I needed to do to help find a cure for this horrible disease. After watching my close family suffer with this and watch them slowly die is awful and now I'm doing it all again with my sister.
