Hi everyone. There has now been a change in Marks condition, where his mobility has deteriorated and is struggling to get about. The professional care that mark has provided is only 4 hours a day which is not enough. Mark is lucky Inrespect that he has a carer that does above and beyond but Mark needs more care. We have now had to reconsider what we need to put the money towards funding further care. The money already raised will be enough to pay for additional caring hours for up to 3 months, which will make such a difference to both Ally and Mark, enabling him to stay at home with some quality of life.

please do help so we can provide care for as long as possible.

Mark is one of the most wonderful men, that anyone would be lucky enough to meet. I was lucky enough to meet Mark in 2015, when he opened his home up to me in Newport, when I was looking fo somewhere to stay. He went from being my landlord to one of my best friends.
Mark has dedicated his life to helping and supporting other people. he has been a priest in the Church in Wales for 30 years of which 23 years he's worked as Lead Chaplin in the South Wales prison's.

He was a Hospis Chaplin in Swansea.

He has also been involved in many charity fundraisers.

He became a prison chaplain which meant so much to mark, which now because of this awful illness, is now unable to do. After spending so many years looking after and supporting other people, it's now time Mark needs some support.
Mark has a wonderful family and an extraordinary wife Ally, who has cerebral palsy and manages amazingly.
I have set up this page for Mark as a birthday present as it is his 56th birthday on the 19th Feb.
Please give whatever you can afford, to help this wonderful man and his family, be as comfortable as possible in such a terrible situation. The money raised will allow him to die at home surrounded with his family and friends. This is he's last wish.
