On Sunday 16th October, Martin Portner (an eight time Swiss and four time World Champion Natural Bodybuilder) competed in an international event in Coventry, United Kingdom.

After the event, he was taken ill with an existing Heart condition and rushed to University Hospital, Coventry where he remained for 5 days until he was well enough to be medically repatriated.

Martins medical insurance does not cover the cost of his repatriation, and his family are now in a position where they face a £3000 shortfall. In addition, Martin is self employed in a one man business which has ceased operating in his absence due to this bout of ill health and as a result his income has stopped.
