Each summer for the last 27 years we have transformed our parish church into the venue for the largest open art exhibition in the North West of England. The annual exhibition provides the artistic highlight of our village - Milnthorpe in Cumbria - for four days at the beginning of August. We showcase the work of new and established artists and have raised a total approaching £170,000 for local charities and good causes.

To show artists' work effectively requires an excellent lighting system and our present system is starting to show its age - the existing system came from K shoes "secondhand" almost 30 years ago - and will soon be unrepairable. A new LED lighting system will be easier to install each year, more effective and much more energy efficient.

However for a large exhibition, like ours, the cost will be about £6000. We want to maintain our practice of donating all the proceeds from the annual exhibition to local charities and good causes so we are looking for your help to raise the £6000 we need!
