Trek and Tackle to Twickenham!

Our big fundraising event is a sponsored run from Nailsea, North Somerset to Twickenham, the home of English Rugby, to be held on Saturday 4th March, at midday, at Nailsea & Backwell Rugby Club.

This a fun event to raise funds for our tour in April and will involve the whole team taking part in a run/walk (and regular tackles) to cover the equivalent distance from Nailsea to Twickenham by running around one of our rugby pitches. The distance is 186km, which works out as 547 laps of the pitch, or 22 laps per boy (7.5km) if all 25 boys attend. As it is a team event, any of the players not covering their share of the distance will be made up by the rest of the team if at all possible.

A prize has been offered by Tesco (Nailsea) for the boy who raises the most sponsor money. So if you are able to sponsor any member of the team, please indicate in your response which boy (full name please as we have two Jack's and two Harry's etc!) you are sponsoring.

Tesco will also be providing the drinks and snacks for the boys during the run. We are very grateful for their support.

We hope you agree this is a worthwhile cause to support (although we are not a charity). It will provide a worthwhile challenge to the team to overcome and will help test and improve their stamina for the game they enjoy.
