Weʼve raised £1,690 to Buy Seizure monitors.

    Hereford, United Kingdom
Funded on Wednesday, 6th July 2016

    What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

    Story

We are trying to raise enough money to buy seizure monitors for Toby, Corey & Izzy. To have these monitors set up in the children's bedrooms would mean the parents can try and get much needed rest without getting up all through the night at every noise. The monitors will alert the parents when a seizure starts.

With Batten Disease seizures are only controlled by medication for so long, so at any given time a seizure can happen.

The monitors will also allow the children more independence without someone needing to be with them every second of the day. (They can be watched on the monitors via the families phones/ipads)

Batten disease takes their eye sight, speech, motor skills, short term memory, they will be tube fed, in wheel chairs and Batten disease will steal their lives. There is no treatment and no cure. So every bit of independence we can give them is everything.

Huge thank you in advance from Our Little Troopers Auntie, every bit of support means the world to us and the more we can raise awareness of this cruel disease the closer we will be to a cure for future children xx

Wow just wow!! So overwhelmed by the kindness of people. We have enough to buy all 3 monitors. This will bring so much peace of mind. At this rate they will be able to enjoy a little break away too. A few days away from all the stresses and to make memories together X 💞
