Story
Porthmadog and District Amateur Radio Society are operating a amateur radio station on the 28th and 29th January 2017 from the Pwllheli lifeboat station as part of RadioSOS week.
This is to raise awareness both in the UK and abroad of the work done by the RNLI, which is funded solely by public donations.
We will be operating on the 15, 20 and 40 metre bands on both days.
As with most amateur radio societies we are self funding by members and also need funds to continue the work we do in our communities.
Funds received from this effort will be split 70% to the RNLI with the remaining 30% going towards funding future events run by us.
We will be using the callsign GB6RNLI, please give us a call.
