Preston North End under 16's Girls football team are trying to raise enough money to get to the Dallas football tournament 2017 ( for the Dallas cup )
As a team they worked really hard last season , they won both the league and the west lancs cup .
Everyone from the parents to the players are making the best effort to raise the money needed to get them to the USA , we are doing the Guild Wheel , car boot sales , leg waxing , cake sales , raffles and as much as we can to get our target of £20,000
Raising funds is difficult as some people don't see this as a good cause which in some cases compared to others it isn't .
Women/girls all over the world have fought to make football a sport not just for men and are just scratching the surface in being recognised , more money is conveyed to men’s football, over 100 million pounds every summer in transfers, with the best facilities for the boys academy.
People forget that ladies football stretched back to the early 1890’s crowds of 10,000 was normal and in certain matches attracting crowds of up to 53,000 thousand, the FA banned them playing on football league pitches as they said football was unsuitable for women , it took 50 years for the ban to be lifted and feel women have come a long way since this .
Our Girls have a dream , the same dream Ronaldo/Messi had when they were young , please help us raise enough money to get them their dream, inspire and start them on an exciting journey in a reality that they can achieve anything if they work hard for it , a moral today which somehow seems distant .
