Story
Earlier this year 22 month old Emerson Grant had a mis-diagnosed arachnoid cyst on his spine.
Up until 15th August 2016 he was an above average 20 month old toddler. Emerson had just settled into his nursery where he enjoyed playing, climbing, running and jumping about with his new toddler friends.
Emerson became ill over a few weeks during which time he bacame unable to to move his legs. He was finally admitted into hospital for an MRI scan, where the doctors told his family the devastating news that he had an arachnoid cyst on his spine. The surgeon removed the cyst, however not before he lost the use of his lower body.
Life has changed dramatically for Emerson and his family, Emerson is now disabled (incomplete) and requires many years of rehabilitation. No one will say if he can ever walk again but his family are positive and strong and have faith. If there is any chance of Emerson regaining his mobility again he will need lots of physiotherapy and specialist equipment.
Paragon will be running a number of events over the coming weeks and the money that we raise will be used to help Emerson get the equipment and services he needs to make a recovery.
